Dudley Newton (Pete) Rector, 79 from the Sweeten's Cove Community of South Pittsburg, TN went peacefully to his heavenly home on Friday, January 14, 2022.  Dudley was born on January 10, 1943 to the late Dudley Rector and Virgie Coffelt Rector.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life for 59 years, Agnes Jane Avans Rector, one sister Aliene Stewart, and granddaughter Amber Rector.

Survivors include sons, Petie (Trina Bell) Rector of South Pittsburg, TN David Allen Rector of Hazel Green, AL; daughters, Margaret (Vernon) Smith of South Pittsburg, TN   Sharon (Tracy) Austin of Dunlap, TN grandchildren Jeffery "JD" Bowman of Forest City, Ark, Amanda Wilson (Garren Appleton) Kelly

(Kathy) Smith, and Mike (Wendy) Smith of South Pittsburg, TN,  Hunter (Mallory) Henson of Whitwell, TN, Cole (KG) and Ezera Henson of South Pittsburg,TN,  Kelly (Kaylan) Rector of Soddy Daisy, TN, and Hunter Austin of Dunlap, TN,  Coby Kirk of Stevenson, AL,   Jessica Kirk of Bridgeport, AL,  twelve great grandchildren; one special sister-in-law, Eloise Hood of Whitwell, TN,  sisters, Bisie Stewart, Richard City, TN,  Sarah Swafford and Mary Broad of Bridgeport, AL;  brothers; Joe (Jackie) Rector of Scottsboro, AL, Jimmy Rector of Richard City, TN;  Tom Rector of South Pittsburg, TN,  and Johnny Rector of Stevenson, AL. Several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.

Pallbearers are David Avans, Jason Hood, Jim Rector, John Rector, Manford Stewart and Tommy Rector.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jim Cordell and grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home South Pittsburg with Pastor Tracy Ferguson.

Interment will follow at Beene Raulston Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CST) and on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CST) prior to the chapel service.
