Edna Ruth King Kennemore, 72, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, in a local health care facility.She was a lifelong area resident and was a daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Julia Frances King Sr. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, James, Buddy and Crawford King and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in New Hope.She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Louis "J.L." Kennemore of New Hope; son, Steve (Vicki) Kennemore of Seabrook, Texas; daughters, Donna K. (Calvin "Bow" ) Rich of South Pittsburg, Kay K. (Mark) Hughes of Nashville and Gina K. Phillips of South Pittsburg; son-in-law, Mark Phillips; sisters, Willie Mae Collins of South Pittsburg, Martha Frances Durham of Signal Mountain; brothers, George (Doris) King of New Hope and Gerald (Carolyn) King of Cleveland TN; sisters-in-law, Ann King, Betty Kate King and Sue King all of New Hope, TN; foster brother, John Marshall; grandchildren, Russell Kennemore of Baycliff, Texas, Matt Kennemore, and Julie Ruth Phillips of both of New Hope; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 PM CDT on Sunday, June 24, 2007 from Antioch Baptist Church in New Hope with the Rev. Gary Shirley officiating. Interment in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 9 PM CDT on Saturday, June 23rd at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
