Obituary

Edwina Honey Hall, age 82, a resident of Murfreesboro, TN and former resident of South Pittsburg, TN passed away September 11, 2008 at her home in Murfreesboro.
Born January 27, 1926 in Marion County, TN to the late Lawrence and Vera Honey, Edwina attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. While at UT she worked in Oak Ridge supporting the war effort during WWII. She married Mac Hall in 1948.
After college she taught at South Pittsburg High School and later joined Mac in the jewelry and gift business they started in 1951. They had Hall Jewelers for 48 years. They moved to Murfreesboro, TN in 2001 to be closer to their family.
Edwina was known by all her friends for her quick wit and warm sense of humor.
She is survived by son Norris (Linda) Hall and daughter Kelly (Sam) Baggett of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Steffanie Keaton, Leslie Hall Wright (Rodney), Amanda Baggett Beam (Stacy) and Sydney Baggett; one great grandchild, Mac Taylor Wright; a brother, Phil Honey; brother-in-law, Harry F. Hall; aunt, Mrs. Era Hixson and her beloved dog, C.Z.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac Hall, her mother Vera Honey and father Lawrence Honey.
The family will receive friends in the Narthex at First United Methodist Church, 265 West Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro on Sunday, September 14 from 3-5 PM CDT.
Funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, TN on Monday, September 15 at 3 PM CDT with visitation from 1 PM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.
Memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
