Elise Hooper, passed away Monday, January 30, 2022. She was born June 2, 1935 in Whitwell, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Authur Eugene Hooper and Ruth Norwood Hooper; her husband Johnny Earl Woodard; her brothers, Norwood and Harry Joe Hooper.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Woodard Griffies; her sister-in-law, Jodi Hooper; four nephews, Mark, Gary, DuWayne, and Joe Hooper.

Elise was a mother first, a teacher, a principal, and a supervisor of special education for the Marion County Schools until she retired.

Elise enjoyed traveling, reading, going to the Pirate to visit with her friends, a member of the Lions Club and a Master Gardener.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, from 2 to 4 PM (CST) at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg Tennessee.

A celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm (CST) in the funeral homes chapel.

Donations may be made in Elise's memory to the charity of your choice.
