Obituary

Ella B. Allison Kelso, 92, of South Pittsburg, TN died Saturday, April 30, 2011 in a local hospital.

She was born in Hollywood, Alabama on January 18, 1919 to the late Frank and Nannie Cothran Allison. Sister Kelso accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully attended Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church until her health failed her. She was one of their oldest members. "Grandmother" to everyone in the community, she always gave a loving, helping hand to those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nannie Allison; husband, Robert Kelso; son, Robert E. Kelso; three sisters, Mattie Robinson, L.D. Rutledge and Lorene Baker; and three brothers, Husie Allison, John Will Allison and Jamie Allison.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: five daughters, Ethel "Billie" Chubb of South Pittsburg, Marion Sue McClendon and Virginia (Paul) Mason both of Chattanooga, TN, Peggy (Alfred) Chubb of Wildwood, GA and Norma Spears of Jasper, TN; one son, Johnny (Willie Mae) Kelso of South Pittsburg; special loved one, Eddie (Jeanette) Tipton of Kimball; 13 grandchildren, including special grandson, Tony Chubb; a host of great-grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; two God-granddaughters; and special friend, Wanita Scott.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in South Pittsburg on Friday, May 6th at 2pm Central Time. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Rogers Funeral Home South Pittsburg on Thursday, May 5th from 6-8 pm Central Time.
