Obituary

Mrs. Elva Hensley McNutt, 84, of South Pittsburg, formerly of Nashville, died Monday, May 8, 2006. The daughter of the late Commodore and Sally Curry Hensley, she was a member of the Una Church of Christ in Nashville, an active member of the Donelson Sr. Citizens, an Agape Sponsor and took part in various missionary efforts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Riley "J.R." McNutt and sister, Onieda Turnbow. She is survived by her children, Monicca & Charles Mays of South Pittsburg and James Rickey & Jayne McNutt of Harriman, TN; foster son, Mike Smithson of Fairview, TN; Grandchildren, Richard Keith Mays of Pine, CO, Charles Christopher Mays of Soddy-Daisy, James Ryan McNutt and Christina Marie McNutt both of Knoxville; niece, Sharon Huskey of Hillsboro, TN; and great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 11 AM CDT with Todd Elliott and George Wade officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 9, 2006 from 5-8 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Una Church of Christ, Spanish Ministry, 1917 Murfreesboro Rd., Nashville, TN 37217.
