Mrs. Eva Pearl Ladd, 77 of Sequatchie, TN, died Saturday, May 10, 2008. She was the daughter of the late David D. and May Fulfer Hardy and was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Olan Ladd. Mrs. Ladd had a passion for helping others, was known for her chicken and dumplings, and loved to draw. She donated her time each year to help the Shriners with the Cornbread Festival, and she attended the Friendship Worship Center in Wildwood, GA.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Ladd of Sequatchie, TN., Barbara (Ken) Thomas of Mt. Vernon, IN, and Gloria Ladd of Evansville, IN, 5 Grandchildren, Kevin Dausman, Stephanie McGary, Jessica Stocker, Stephanie Thomas, and Daniel Thomas, 6 Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 11:00am CDT on Tuesday, May 13, with Rev. Philip Layne and Rev. Jonathon Lawson officiating. Interment will be in Lasater Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sequatchie Valley Shrine Club in Jasper.
