Gloria Faye Barnett Morrison, 68, of Jasper, TN died Thursday, December 27th in a Chattanooga hospital.
The daughter of the late Elisha and Mattie Lucille McClanahan Barnett, she was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church who loved the Lord and her church family. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and was dedicated to her family. She was also a lifelong cook and baker who was famous for her coconut cakes and buttermilk pies.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tom Morrison of Jasper; four sons, Tom (Gina) Morrison, Jr. of Jasper, Paul (Tonya) Morrison of Tullahoma, TN, Tim (Ann) Morrison and John Morrison both of Jasper; sister, Nancy Daffron; brothers, Bob (Sherry) Barnett, Sherman (Linda) Barnett all of Jasper, and John (Cathy) Barnett of Huntsville, AL; six grandchildren, Tonia, Eric, Hannah, Katherine, Jacob and Eli; three great-grandchildren, Addalyn, Oden and Maddox.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 1pm Central time with Rev. Jimmy Styers officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 29th from 2-8pm Central time and on Sunday, December 30th from 2-8pm Central time at the funeral home.
