Fayerene McCarter Guinn, 78, of South Pittsburg, TN and a former resident of Bear Creek, AL died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at a local nursing home. She was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene McCarter and Margaret Eula Berry McCarter.
She was a bus driver for Stevenson High School for over 15 years, a member of O.E.S. in Bridgeport and a member of Centennial Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Melvin Guinn and a son, Donny Guinn.
She is survived by sons, Mark (Karen) Guinn of South Pittsburg, TN, Eric (Lori) Guinn of Nauvoo, AL and a daughter-in-law, Reita Guinn of Scottsboro, AL; eight grandchildren, Angie Hedger, Brian Guinn, Amy Kennemer, Justin Guinn, Kim Woodruff, Josh Guinn, Randy Guinn and Jordan Bridges Guinn; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Tarter, Vodie Barton and Ada Doris Martin; brother, Jerry McCarter and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, March 14 from 5-7pm and Tuesday morning from 9-11am. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 11:00 am at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg with Rev. Jerry Gilliam officiating. Interment will be in Centennial Cemetery.
