Frances Campbell

It is with sadness that the family of Frances Trew Campbell announces her passing on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 91.
Frances was born on March 29, 1935, to the late Mortimer Elisha Trew and Oneta Crittenden Trew of Delano, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Edward Campbell.
Frances most recently resided at Spring Arbor Senior Living in Athens, Tennessee and was formerly a longtime resident of Sequatchie, Tennessee. She dedicated many years of her life to education and retired as a school teacher in Rossville, Georgia.
A proud lifelong learner, Frances was an alumna of Tennessee Wesleyan University and Peabody College. Beyond her teaching career, she was deeply passionate about genealogy and historical preservation. She was active in numerous lineage and historical organizations, including the Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Southeast Tennessee Chapter of the Magna Carta Society, the Wauhatchie Chapter, United States Daughters of 1812, and the Continental Society Daughters of Indiana Wars New Echota Chapter.
Frances is survived by her brother, Mortimer L. Trew of Delano, Tennessee, along with extended family members and friends who will remember her dedication to family history, education, and community. Her life was marked by a love of learning, preservation of history, and devotion to family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (CDT) in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Feely officiating.
Mrs. Campbell will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Carl Campbell, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (CDT) prior to the funeral service in chapel.
