Obituary

Mrs. Frances Myers Hale, 90, of Guild, TN died Friday, February 19, 2010 at Windlands Assisted Living in Nashville.
One of two daughters born to the late George and Bertie Mae Pope Myers, she lived most of her life in Guild, where she attended the Guild public schools and then Marion County High School where she graduated in 1933. She married John Thomas Hale, Jr. on September 23, 1938, and they had two children, Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" and Wendell Pope Hale. She was a member of Hale's Chapel United Methodist Church in Guild and was the Postmaster at the Guild post office for 28 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, J.T. Hale; son, Wendell Hale; sister, Anna Nell Curton; sisters-in-law, Frances H. Conner and Ethel H. Conner; brothers-in-law, Harvey, Ed and Fonzy Hale and Paul Brown.
She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Andy Anderson of Nashville, TN; sisters-in-law, Nellie Hale Brown of Guild and Bertie Hale of Manchester, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 1 PM CST with Reverends Vernon Windom and Paul Hopson officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper.
The family will gather with friends for visitation on Monday, February 22rd from 4-8 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Vanessa Hogan and her staff at Windlands Assisted Living for the 10 years of tender, loving care they provided to Mrs. Hale.
