Frances Evelyn Martin Pesnell, 96, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Willis Asbury and Artie Mae Hudson Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Hoyt Pesnell and sisters, Opal Sanders and Jewell Calvert.

She and her late husband, George Hoyt Pesnell, owned and operated Economy Cleaners for over 20 years. She was a member of South Pittsburg First Baptist Church and the Fidelis-Dorcas Sunday school class, and was a former Worthy Matron of the O.E.S.

Mrs. Pesnell is survived by her children, Dean (Eva) Pesnell and Rex (Jayne) Pesnell of Kimball, TN, Katrinka (Fred) Sharpe, Gayle Allen (Robert) Grier, and Christa Pesnell, all of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren, Craig (Lisa) Pesnell, Kim Pesnell (Phil) Ball, Karen Pesnell Brackett, Robert (Leslie) Sharpe, Curtis Sharpe and David (Rebekah) Sharpe, Amanda and Benjamin (Brandy) Allen, Brandice Grier, Randall (Samantha) Pesnell and Shea Phillips; sister, Ibbie Bennett, of South Pittsburg, TN; 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm central time Friday, January 15, at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, at 10:00 AM central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, with Rev. Ronnie Case and Rev. Brad Bridgman officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
