Mrs. Frances Lewis Turner, 85 of Jasper, TN died at a Chattanooga nursing home on Monday, October 4, 2010.
The daughter of the late Hugh F. and Myrtle Pittman Lewis, Mrs. Turner was a devoted mother and grandmother and attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. In her later life, she was a caregiver for the elderly.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn Turner, daughter, Linda J. Turner and brother, Tommy Lewis.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Kenneth W.) Long of Jasper; grandson, Barry Long of Jasper; granddaughter, Kimberly Long of St. Petersburg, FL; special nephew John T. Phillips of Jasper and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN at 1:30 pm Central Time on Thursday, October 7, 2010, officiated by Pastor Royce Vickery and Reverend Vernon Windom. Interment will be in Havron's Chapel Cemetery in Jasper, TN.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 4 - 8 PM Central Time.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church or to Havron's Chapel Cemetery Fund.
