Obituary

Fred Harrison Cagle, 62, of Kimball, TN, died at a local hospital on Friday, February 20, 2009.He was born in Richard City, TN and was educated at Richard Hardy Memorial School. He worked at Valley Tire, Penn-Dixie, Asplundh Tree Company and as dog catcher for the City of South Pittsburg. During his son's football days, Fred was active with the South Pittsburg Quarterback Club. He was a member of the Kimball Church of Christ for over 40 years and was a Dixie Saddle Club member.He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Harrison Cagle, Sr.; his parents Steve T. and Mava Patterson of Richard City; brother, David Winfred Walker; and his grandson, Joshua Ridley.He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debra M. Cagle of Kimball; daughter, Kim (Roy) Ridley of South Pittsburg; son, Ernie (Cathy) Cagle of Kimball; four grandchildren, Colt Ridley, Rhyley Ridley, E.J. Cagle and Ryan Cagle; brother, Steve Patterson of Kimball; sister, Diane VanAllman of South Pittsburg; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends (everybody in town).Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 2pm CST with Billy Watkins and Reverend Joe Moore officiating. Interment will be in Ridley Cemetery in Hargis Cove.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 22nd from 1-9pm CST.Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation which was instrumental in helping Fred and his family for over two years.
