Freddie Cartwright, Sr., 72, of Jasper, TN died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital.
A US Army veteran, he retired after 50 years as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Mary Gracie Levan Cartwright.
He is survived by his son, Freddie (Kim) Cartwright of Bridgeport; two daughters, Audrey Saylers of Hopewell, VA and Sharon Cartwright of Richmond, VA; three step-children, Lynn Lamer and Mikki McAdams, both of South Pittsburg and Donald McLeod of Gastonia, SC; his sister, Marie Mathes of Pikeville, TN; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 11 AM CST on Friday, February 13th with Rev. Glen Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Sardis Cemetery.
The family will gather with friends for visitation on Thursday, February 12th from 5-9 PM CST at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
