George William Curtis, 78, of Tiftonia, TN died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Memorial hospital.
The son of the late William and Mary Curtis, he attended Wauhatchie United Methodist Church in Tiftonia. He was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters and grandson, Nathan Sewell.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Belle Johnson Curtis of Tiftonia; children, Joan (Jimmy) Sewell, Mike (Linda) Curtis and Jeff (Ginger) Curtis all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Shane (Kristen) Curtis, Casey Curtis, Whitney and Logan Park, Jason (Emily) Sewell, Ashley (Dustin) Hall, Chad (Elizabeth) Curtis and Blake Curtis; sister, Clara Helen Robison of Chattanooga; brother, John Wilford Curtis of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Gaige and Trinety; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 25th from 2-8 PM Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
There will be visitation on Tuesday from 12 Noon Central time until service time at the church.
Funeral services will be conducted from Wauhatchie United Methodist Church in Tiftonia on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2 PM Central time. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper.
