Mrs. Geraldine Guffey Blevins, 72, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Friday at her home. The daughter of the late Dave and Emma Bell Hawkins Guffey, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Blevins. She was a former member of Kimball Baptist Church.
She is survived by six children: Ray (Connie) Blevins of Jasper, LaDean (Jim) Smith of Whitwell, Teena Case of East Ridge, Diane (John) Huskins of Flat Rock, AL, Teresa (Johnny) Dalton of Jasper, and Ernestine Suddath of Temple, TX; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Danny Guffey of Dutton, AL, and Roy Wilhelm of Scottsboro, AL, and one sister, Elizabeth Tidwell of Rainesville, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 17, 2008 with Rev. David Clay officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
