Gertie Sue Dalton, 79, of South Pittsburg, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2008.
The daughter of the late Ben & Nell Condra, she was a retired employee of Pittsburg Knitting Mills where she was a supervisor for over 30 years. She was also a member of the South Pittsburg Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Dalton; brothers, Jesse, Ed and Franklin Condra; sisters, Lucille Padgett and Anna Ruth Pace.
She is survived by her children, Bobby & Glenda Dalton of Bridgeport, AL, Betty Martin and Jane & Rick Scott all of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Rob and Meredith Dalton, Faye Maynor, Joy Randolph, Gene Martin, Lisa Martin, Jeremy and Eric Scott; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Charles and Kenneth Condra; sisters, Anne White, Louise Smitherman and Nell Richardson; several nieces, nephews, brothers & sisters in Christ and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, June 14 at 2 PM CDT. Interment will be in Orme Mountain Cemetery.
The family will gather with friends for visitation on Friday, June 13 from 3-9 PM CDT at the funeral home.
