Gordon Thomas Blevins, 81, of Kimball, TN died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was welcomed at the heavenly gates by the love of his life and best friend, Loretta.

The son of the late Joseph Benjamin and Emmaline Pearl Massengale Blevins, he was a farmer and a former employee of TAC Alloy. Mr. Blevins lived in the Kimball area his entire life and was known as a hardworking, loving and devoted father and husband. He was passionate about his work but his greatest passion was for his wife, children and family. He touched the lives of many people with his smile, gentle spirit, giving heart, and generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and dedication to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Colvin Blevins, seven brothers, John, Lee, Allan, Joseph, JC, Chester and Donald Blevins and four sisters, Lydia Peoples, Beatrice Durham, Christine Blevins and Dorothy Peoples.

He is survived by his children, Gordon "Mike" (Cindy) Blevins of Whitwell, Robert Lee (Tammy) Blevins of New Hope, Teri Jaudon of Kimball, Dale (Marilou) Blevins of Bridgeport, AL and Sherry (Daniel) Graber of Kimball; grandchildren, Jonathan Gravitt, Tiffany Lankster, Katie Rhodes, Melissa Brinkley, Robbie Blevins, Katlynn Blevins, Karah Blevins, Chelsea Jaudon, Garrett Jaudon and Chrissy King; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Heather, Ashlynn, Aaron, Luke, Micah, Allie, Kane, Erica, Lee and Aaliyah; sisters, Pat (John) Keef of Kimball and Isabelle Durham of Ooltewah, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16th at 2pm Central time. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 15th from 3-8 pm at the funeral home.
