Grace Burrows Faris, 92, of South Pittsburg, TN died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Cumberland Health and Rehab Center.

The daughter of the late George Albert and Frankie Mae Brown Burrows, she was retired from the South Pittsburg Housing Authority. She was a member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church and spent much of her free time crafting, painting, making afghans and ceramics. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin W. Faris, Jr., brothers, Robert, John and Sam Burrows; sister, Mildred Holland; and grandson, William D. Rogers, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Bill) Rogers and Diana (Stanley) Chance; son, E.W. "Buster" (Glenda) Faris, III all of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Chance-Jones of Hollywood, AL, Leigh Ann Rogers (Clint Smith) of Suck Creek, TN, Joshua (Amanda) Chance of South Pittsburg and Candy Anderson of South Pittsburg; great-grandchildren, Andrew Tyler McLemore of Hollywood, AL, C.J. Anderson of South Pittsburg, Lilian Grace Michel of Suck Creek and Aibram Pierce Chance and Aliyda Leighella Wilson both of South Pittsburg; brother, Buford "Buddy" (Bessie) Burrows of Bridgeport, AL; sister, Margaret (Aaron) Lee of Graysville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, with Rev. Bud Guess officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9th, from 3-9 pm at the funeral home.
