It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Donald "Jimbo" Keef, age 91, of Whiteside, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
Donald was born on January 12, 1934, in Whiteside, Tennessee, and spent his life surrounded by the love of his family and the beauty of his home community.
Donald proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and service. After his time in the military, he went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career at U.S. Pipe, from which he retired.
Throughout his life, Donald was known for his love of motorcycles, particularly his cherished Harley-Davidson. Riding his bike was not just a hobby for him; it was a way to embrace the freedom of the open road, a symbol of his adventurous spirit. His passion for motorcycles was only matched by his unwavering devotion to his family and his faith.
Donald was a lifelong member of Whiteside United Methodist Church, where he found both community and strength in his beliefs. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and humor, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donald was a loving husband to his wife of 71 years, Rowena, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. Together, they raised three children: Rachel, Tim, and Joey, who carry forward his legacy of love, loyalty, and warmth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Cecil Keef; son, Joseph Andrew Keef; brother, Bobby Joe Keef; sister, Mildred Rankin and Katy Gouger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rowena Alice Keef; daughter, Rachel (Scott) Braden; son, Tim (Helen) Keef; grandchildren, Heather, Brittany, Collin, Dillon, Savannah and Ashton; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Oakleigh, Weston, Halen, Scottie and Aria; sister, Wilma Lowery and Glenda Holland; brother, Jerre Keef and many friends, extended family members, and all those whose lives he touched with his kind and generous heart.
A celebration of Donald's life will be held at Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper Chapel on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.
Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper Chapel, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (CDT) prior to the funeral service in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hooker Cemetery Garden Club, P.O. Box 325 Wildwood Ga., 30757 in Harold "Donald" Keefs honor.
Donald passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, but they find comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in their memories forever.
