Harold Stephen "Steve" Wooten, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2022 at NHC of Dunlap.

Steve was born on March 13, 1939 and was a life-long resident of Jasper, Tennessee, where he was often seen downtown on his three-wheeled bicycle.  He was employed with the Tennessee Department of Transportation from which he retired.   He was a member of the Tennessee National Guard, the Lion's Club, and Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Henderson Wooten; parents, Robert Wooten and Vashti Wooten; brothers, Frank Wooten, James Wooten; and  sister, Tommie Lou Griffith Hadden.

Survivors include one brother, Hiram Jackson (Pat) Wooten, as well as many  nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. (CST) at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 148 College St., Jasper, Tennessee

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jasper, TN.

Steve will be laid to rest at the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jasper with his wife, Sheryl Wooten.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Steve's honor to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jasper, TN.
