Mr. Harry "Joe" Hogan, 86, of Jasper died at a local nursing home on Thursday, August 27, 2009.
The son of the late Charles Vines and Pearl Simmons Hogan, he was raised and educated in South Pittsburg and served as an Electrician's Mate, 3rd Class in the Navy during WII. He was a retired union carpenter having worked for TVA and the State of Tennessee, a 50+ year member of the Carpenters Union Local 1608 and attended Jasper Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Robert Hogan.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rayma Colleen Condra Hogan; son, Joe Frank (P.J.) Hogan of Jasper, TN; sister, Geraldine Pepper of Harrison, OH; granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Hogan of Bryant, AL and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2PM CDT Saturday, August 29th with Reverend James H. Patterson officiating. Interment to follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29th from 12 - 2 PM CDT at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Jasper Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 148 College Street, Jasper, TN 37347.
