Obituary
Henry C. Swearengin, 81, of Jasper, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 in a Chattanooga hospital.
Mr. Swearengin enjoyed a longtime career working in the home building industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Leslie and Ivana Swearengin; brothers, ONeal and Ralph Swearengin; as well as sister, Bernice Strickland, Pearl Orazem and Moiselle Ethridge.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nancy Rorex Swearengin; children, Renee (David) Prophater and Steve (Renee) Swearengin; grandsons, Keith Grooms and Truman Andrew Swearengin; great-grandson, Kevin Grooms; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony to commemorate his life will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2:30 pm CDT at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Case and David Prophater, officiating. Interment will follow Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018, 4-7 PM CDT and Sunday, July 8, 2018, from noon until 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
