Howard E. Barnette, 86, of Jasper, TN passed away Friday, October 23, 2009. Howard was the son of the late Robert and Myrtle Long Barnette.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Ruby Branson Barnette, and his sister, Anna Love Willis.
He is survived by one brother, DeArnold (Shirley) Barnette of Chattanooga; nieces, Charlotte (Dallas) Durham of Jasper, TN, Vera (Greg) Long of South Pittsburg, Cheryl (Adam) Quirk of Frederick, MD, DeAnn Barnette of Chattanooga, and one nephew, Robert (Leslie) Barnette of Chattanooga.
Mr. Barnette attended Marion County schools and graduated from Marion County High School in 1942 and attended the University of Tennessee. He also served in the military for 3 years. He was employed by Stokley Van Camp for 13 years and traveled for 30 years as a factory representative for consumer products manufacturing.
Visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN from 6pm to 9pm CDT on Saturday, October 24th.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 2pm CDT with interment to follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
