Howard Jefferson Phillips, 78, of South Pittsburg, TN died Thursday, August 20, 2015 in a local nursing home.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson Howard and Binnie Cleo Stephens Phillips; wife, Pat Granter Phillips; son, Bobby Phillips; brothers, Jack and Morris Phillips; and sister-in-law, Dimple Phillips.

He is survived by his niece, Joyce (James) Manley and her children, Hope and Joseph of Crown Point, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Marina (Mike) McCune and Clara (Larry) Cahill; and several other nieces, nephews and extended family members.


A memorial service will be held at 5:30pm Central time on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg with Rev. Ronnie Case officiating.


The family requests that donations be made to Rogers Funeral Home to help with expenses.
