Mr. Howard Wilkerson, 95, beloved citizen of Jasper, TN, died Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was the son of the late William Harold and Clara Arnold Wilkerson, and was also preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Mildred Lewis Wilkerson.

Educated in the Stevenson, Alabama and Marion County, Tennessee public schools, he served in the US Army during World War II as a Staff Sergeant, and then began his 35 year career with TVA, working both at Hale's Bar and Widow's Creek before retiring in 1984. He was a deacon of Jasper First Baptist Church where he was in the Men's Adult Class, and was also a member of Olive Branch Lodge #297 F&AM.

He is survived by several dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service.
