SOUTH PITTSBURG – Hoyt Jackson Davenport, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

Hoyt was a former longtime police officer and longtime resident of South Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Marvin Davenport and mother, Beulah Fulfer; as well as brothers, Jimmy, Roy and Brice Davenport and a sister, Judy Davenport.

Survivors include his siblings, Shirley Bennett of Joliet, Illinois, Dora Mae Cain of Canton, Ohio, Betty O'Brian of Louisiana, Inez Basham of Jacksonville, Florida, Fred Davenport of Jasper, Tennessee, Gary Davenport of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Jerry Davenport of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Roger Davenport of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 CST on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Cumberland View Cemetery.

No visitation will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help recoup final expenses.
