Mrs. Isabelle Hawkins Bishop, 96, formerly of North Fort Myers, FL, died Friday, July 8, 2011 in a South Pittsburg, TN healthcare center.

The daughter of the late Israel and Ida Mae L'Hommedieu Hawkins, she was a clerk for the New York Department of Motor Vehicles for many years. She was also a member of Mt. Sinai Congregational Church in New York and was preceded in death by her husband, George Bishop.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Neher of Wheaton, Maryland and Carol Buckland of North Fort Myers, Florida; five grandchildren, including Laurie (Kerry) Hoefer of South Pittsburg, TN; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three nephews and one niece.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Seaview Cemetery in Mt. Sinai, New York.
