James Kenneth "Dosey" Kelly, 84, of South Pittsburg, died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at his home.


The son of the late George Robert and Birdie Johnnie Parker Kelly, he was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church and Marion Lodge #515 F&AM.


He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Colston Kelly of South Pittsburg, TN; children, Karen (Pete) Moditz of Selmer, TN, Robert (Fran) Kelly of Whitwell, TN and Mary Ann (John) Slavnik of Lewis Center, OH; grandchildren, John Robert Slavnik, Jr., Kelly Slavnik, Christopher Moditz, Clarissa Moditz and Joseph Kelly.


The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 10th from 5-8pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.


Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2pm Central time on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 with Isaac Blevins officiating.


Interment will be on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11am Central time at Gilliam Cemetery in the Battle Creek Community of South Pittsburg, TN.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 1620 Martin Springs Rd., South Pittsburg, TN 37380.
