Obituary

Jack E. Pell, 79, of Whiteside, TN went home to the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2015.


The son of the late Vera Sargeant Manning, he was a native of Chattanooga, TN, a graduate of Kirkman High School and a former member of Central Baptist Church (now ABBA's House). He was also a US Air Force veteran having served with the 4245th Field Maintenance Squadron. He retired from Combustion Engineering after 30 years of service.


Jack is survived by his wife, Linda Long Pell of Whiteside, TN; children, Melody (Scott) Hooper, Brandon (Angela) Pell and Scott (Katie) Pell; grandchildren, Natalie & Amanda Hooper, Corben, Rebekah, Emily, Connor and Hannah Pell; sister, Rose Gilbert; nephew, Steve Gilbert; and sister-in-law, Darde Long.


Graveside funeral services will be conducted from the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 12:30 pm Eastern time. Interment will immediately follow.


There will be no visitation at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by East Tennessee Hospice.
