James Byron Basham, 35, of Jacksonville, Florida died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in a Jacksonville hospital.

Byron was roofer in the construction industry in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his father, Col. Jeff Basham, grandfather, John Basham, and grandparents, Marvin & Beulah Mae Davenport.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle Basham of Jacksonville; children, Garrison, Joshua, Gabriella, and Summer; mother, Inez Basham of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Kayleygh Renee; brothers, Danny (Amy) Durham of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Lee Basham of Jacksonville, and Skyler Hagan of Whitwell, Tennessee; grandmother, Willene Basham of Whitwell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Central time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Whitwell, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 11th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Central time.
