Mr. James E. Case, 87, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Monday at The Bridge in South Pittsburg.
The son of the late Earl L. and Bertie Mae Walker Case, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Case, a grandson, John Edward Guess, two brothers, Clifford and Gerald Case; son-in-law, John David Guess.
Mr. Case was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a long time employee of Western Auto. He retired from TVA in 1985, was an avid golfer, bowler and South Pittsburg Pirate supporter.
He is survived by his children, Linda (Don) Everett of Lewisburg, TN and James "Booster" (Melanie) Case of Kimball; four grandsons, Brian (Mitzi) Guess, Mike Guess, Jeff (Summer) Case, Andy Case; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Earl Case, "Sis" Chance, Joe Case and Charles Case and very special friend, Ruth Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted from Grace Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 12th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Case officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. Graveside military honors will be rendered by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 3-8 PM at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg. Visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday from 12 Noon until service time.
Donations may be made to The Bridge at South Pittsburg or to Grace Baptist Church.
