James "Jim" Henson of Hoover, AL died Saturday, May 3, 2008.
A graduate of Florence State University, he had been a medical sales representative for the past 30 years and more recently owned his own medical equipment company. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports and was a mentor to his son and numerous other young men.
His life was cut short here on earth and he was a blessing to all who knew him. He was his son's best friend and was the best father ever. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Jimmie Henson.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda Henson of Hoover; son, James Henson IV of Hoover; brother, Shawn (Annise) Henson of South Pittsburg, TN; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6 from 5 to 7 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL.
A Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Chris Sullivan officiating.
Jim was born and raised in Bridgeport, AL and never lost his love or longing to move back one day.
Visitation will also be at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 11 AM to 1 PM with a graveside service immediately following the visitation time at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.
