James Brown Jones, Jr., 85, of Jasper, Tennessee, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home.

The son of the late James Brown Jones and Magdalene Cantrell Jones, he was a United States Army veteran, and was a retired employee of Velsicol Chemical Corporation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Jones and Bernice Stewart.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Jones; daughter, Janet Annette Jones; sisters, Ola Bishop and Lillie Bishop; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Central time on Monday, September 17, 2018, with Rev. Phillip Layne officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
