Mr. James C. Morris, 54, of South Pittsburg, TN died Monday, May 10, 2010 in a local hospital.
The son of the late John Edward and Mary Williams Morris, he was a US Navy Veteran. He was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School and Sedine Bible College and had worked for Lodge Manufacturing, Rivermont Nursing Home and North Jackson Nursing Home. He was also a talented artist.
James was preceded in death by two aunts, Maggie Williams and Omie Hill and brother, Johnny Lasater.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Campbell Morris of South Pittsburg; brothers, Reverend John Morris of South Pittsburg and Joseph Morris of Ohio; nephew, Chris (Shanara) Morris of Chattanooga; cousin, Louise Thomas of Cleveland, OH; brother-in-law, Willie Campbell of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Peggy Jackson of Huntsville, AL; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 2pm CDT with Reverend William Lankford officiating. Interment will be in Gaines Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1pm until service time at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
