James Howard Smith, 86, of South Pittsburg, TN died Wednesday, September 23, 2015. The son of the late Charlie and Bertie Foshee Smith he was a former employee of J.I. Brown Tree Expert Company.
He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Arvel C. Smith and Russell B. Smith, 3 sisters, Bonnie McClain, Lala B. Griffith and Inez White, 2 sons, James W. Smith and Danny Smith and his wife, Avis Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Ann Blansett (Daryl) Mosser, of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Patricia (Eric) Reynolds, of New Hope, TN, Mike (Barbie) Blansett, of South Pittsburg, Mandy (Craig) Finotti, of Winchester, TN and Evan (Cyndi) Smith of Chattanooga, TN, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Due to bad weather, the funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11:00am Central time, with burial to follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday, September 25, from 10am to 10:45am at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
