James "Chick" Wesley Thompson, Sr., 90, of Jasper, TN, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023.

Born James Wesley Thompson on December 19, 1932, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Thompson and Mildred Evans Thompson Rounsaville.

James was employed for 40 years with South-Central Bell.  He was a member of the Sardis Methodist Church.

He was a Master Mason of the 32 ^nd degree, Marion County Olive Branch Lodge #297, and a member of the Scottish Rites for 50 Years, also, was in The United States Navy and served in the Korean War.

James was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time in Mullins Cove.

James was preceded in death by brothers; Thomas E. Thompson, Charles Kenneth Thompson, Jerome Eugene Thompson, stepfather, Ernest Rounsaville.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years; Ann Nunley Thompson; daughter, Deborah Thompson Conley, and son James (Jackie) Wesley Thompson, Jr.; grandchildren, Kasie Ann (Jason) Hooker, Adam (Courtney) Conley, James Wesley Thompson, III, great grandchildren; Samuel Lawrence Hooker, Elizabeth Ann Hooker, Alicen Grace Hooker and Jace Adam Conley.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. (CDT) in the chapel of Rogers Funeral in Jasper, Tennessee, with Jason Hooker officiating.

Mr. Thompson will be laid to rest at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, with full Military Honors by Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guards.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, TN. prior to the service in the chapel.

The pallbearers will be Eugene Thompson, Trey Thompson, Adam Conley, Sam Hooker, Jake Curtis and Caleb Thomasson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Harris, Steve Moneyheffer, Roger Lawson, Mike Sowder, Anthony Walker, Seth Gill and Leon Thomasson.
