Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Jane McConnell Herron Havron, 92, of South Pittsburg, TN died suddenly Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Neely and Elizabeth Pokorny McConnell; husband, James Blackman Havron, M.D and sister, Mary Roberta "Bobbie" Yates.
She was a member of the South Pittsburg Garden Club, the Historical Preservation Society and loved fishing and cooking. Her father was a pioneer professional baseball pitcher and pitched for the Chicago Cubs against the likes of Babe Ruth. Mrs. Havron was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg and was one of the "Miss Daisy's."
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Morgan "Cindy" Havron of South Pittsburg, James Blackman "Jason" Havron, Jr. and his wife, Pamella of Chattanooga, TN, and Dana Houston Havron of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Carolyn Elizabeth Patrick "Carey" Garland, John H. Patrick, Cy M. Havron, Jase Norton Havron, James Brock Havron II, Taft Massey Havron, Ruth Morgan Havron and Jane Elizabeth Havron and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg on Saturday, January 15th at 2:00 PM Central time, officiated by Rev. David Hackett.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Friday, January 14th from 4 - 7 PM Central time.
