Mrs. Janie Beatrice Robinson Kelly, 68, of South Pittsburg, TN died at 1:25 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at her home.
The daughter of the late James and Lucinda Walker Robinson, she was born on July 18, 1939 and became a Christian at an early age. She joined Brakebill Chapel AME Zion Church in 2004. She was a loving and devoted mother and was preceded in death by her son, James Watkins; sister, Fay Fennell and brother, Bobby Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jeffrey (Victoria) Watkins, Sr. of Huntsville, AL, Paul (Mary) Robinson, Michael A. Robinson, Patricia Ann Robinson all of South Pittsburg, Cindy (Andy) Young of Columbus, GA, Calvin A. Kelly, Jr. of South Pittsburg and Edna (Rick) DeJesus of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Roderick Clay, Latoya Walker, Jeffery L. Watkins, Jr., Marquita Watkins, Jenise Watkins, Anthony L. Robinson, Martiez Patterson, Isaiah Robinson, Keirra Robinson, Brianna Tomlin, Shaquila and Consuela Sanford, Jordan L. Robinson, Eddie D. Robinson, David Lee Moore, William F. Bynum, Jr., Anslee Bynum, Justin D. Earvin, Karlton Jamar Earvin and Adessia DeJesus; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, James, Melvin, Robert and Jimmy Robinson; sisters, Forestine Robinson and Evelyn Chubb; special friends, Ann Edwards, Ralph Edge and Charlie Cook.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2 PM CDT with Reverend John Morris and Reverend Paul Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball. Following the interment, the family and friends will gather at the American Legion Hall "for Mama's party."
The family will gather with friends for visitation on Friday from 6-8 at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
