Janie Nadine Scissom, 65, passed away on 14th November 2012 at her home in South Pittsburg.

She was born on November 25th, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She graduated from South Plains College School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas and worked for Methodist Hospital for a number of years.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Nola (Ross) Cox; sisters, Fay Matthews, Edna Balentine and Linda Payton; and brothers, Billy Cox and Sammy Cox.

Janie is survived by her husband Charles "Ron"; sons, Marc (Tammy) Scissom, Chris Scissom; daughter, Robin Scissom Ford; brothers, Dwayne and Mike Cox; and sister, Cindy (Jim) Bain; grandchildren, Jeffrey Scissom, Britni Brown, Andrew Ford, Matthew Ford, Brooke Scissom, Emily Scissom, Mia Scissom; great-grandchildren, Brasden and Lorelai Brown; and other loving relatives.

A memorial service will be held at Jasper Church of the Nazarene, 1028 Betsy Pack Drive, Jasper, TN on Saturday, November 17th at 2 pm with Pastor Kevin Knight officiating.

She will be laid to rest at Orme Mountain Cemetery, South Pittsburg, TN on Sunday, November 18th, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Jody Moore officiating.
