Jannie L. Piercy, 85, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Tara Nursing and Rehabilitation on the Mashes at Thunderbolt, GA.Jannie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Piercy; parents, David R. and Mamie Rogers; sister, Mary Payne Casteel Mitles; and brother, David "Arkie" Rogers. She was born in Jasper, where she lived until 2002, when she moved to Savannah, GA to be close to her family. She was a member of the Baptist Hill Church, a homemaker and she loved gardening and cooking.She is survived by a daughter, Marge Harden of Richmond Hill, GA; sister, Lillie Blount of Jasper; grandchildren, Kristen Rimsek of Guyton, GA and John Harden of Black Creek, GA; great-grandchildren, Jessie and Anna Rimsek; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 AM CST with Reverend Meg Taylor and Reverend Roger Webb officiating. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM CST on Wednesday, October 10 at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
