Jennie Ruth Blansett, 81, lifelong resident and former mayor of Orme, TN, died Tuesday, June 08, 2010.

Mrs. Blansett was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Blansett; sons, Harold Wayne and William Blansett; sisters Nora Bill Lynch and Ruby Godsby; and brothers Pete Cagle and Buford Cagle.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Blansett and wife Donna of South Pittsburg, TN and James Jackson and wife Frances of Harrison, TN; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grand children; sister, Pearl Pellam of South Pittsburg; several nieces, nephews and many close friends.

The family will receive friends at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 6pm - 9pm Central Time.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11am Central Time at the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg with Rev. Charlie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Mary Ellen Locher Fund or Hospice.
