Jere Hope Graham went to be with the Lord, November 20, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Josie Graham, Brothers Edward and Buford Graham and sister, Betty Byrd.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jewell Millard Graham; daughters, Kim Hope Karson of Bala Cynwyd, PA and Shan Starr Smith and husband, Glen of Lake Worth, FL and son, James Andrew Graham of Jasper, TN; granddaughters, Cecily Hope, Tara Rachelle, Amber Kristin Nichole Graham and Jere Savannah Smith; grandsons, Remington and Wyatt Karson and one great-granddaughter, Miley Hope; sisters, Doris Conley, Mary Byrd and Bernice Goforth; special friend, Wyndi Braben.
He graduated from Marion County High School, served in the Air Force, then attended Tennessee Polytechnic Institute. He travelled as a Factory Representative for Jim Dandy Dog Food, was in business with his brother in the Building Supply business, but spent most of his life in Graham Brothers Feed Store.
Jere was a member of First Baptist Church of Jasper, the Jasper Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and the Alhambra Shrine. He formerly served as Foreman of the Marion County Grand Jury and served with the Marion County Chamber of Commerce. He was Secretary and Treasurer of Marion County Republican Party, served on the Marion County Election Commission and served on the Board of Directors at Citizens State Bank.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11am Central with interment following at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening, November 22nd from 6-9pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 696, Jasper, TN 37347 or your favorite charity.
