Jerald Vann "Jerry" Colston, 87, of Jasper, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2023. He went peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, he was affectionately known as "Fod".  He loved his Lord and Savior, he was a singer, choir director, Sunday School teacher, radio personality, and an emcee for many singings and benefits around the valley.  Jerry also enjoyed his breakfast buddies; He loved to talk and tell stories.  He was the anchor of the family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Collins Colston; parents, The Rev. Joe V. Colston and Myrtle Layne Colston; brothers, Kenneth Colston, Bill Colston. Bob Colston and Ralph Colston; sisters, Dorothy Colston-Cannon, June Colston-Bolton, Betty Colston-Bayless; Muff Colston-Kelly, and Nancy Carol Colston.

Survivors include his daughters, Donna Colston – Smith, Nikki Colston; granddaughters, Cristian Colston McManus and Jereann (TJ) Hargis; great grandchildren, Lillias McManus (Roger Cole), KC McManus (Emily Troxell) and Jerald (Cheyenne) McManus; two great-great grandchildren Kenzie McManus and John Collins McManus and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Rev. Dennis Kilgore and Steve Sellers officiating.

Jerry will be laid to rest by his wife, Shirley Colston at Pine Grove
Cemetery in Jasper, TN.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (CDT) and on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (CDT) prior to the funeral service in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jereann Hargis, Jeff Bolton, KC McManus, Jerald McManus, Lillias McManus, Robert V. Kelly, Joel Colston.

Honorary Pallbearers are TJ Hargis, Bruce Bayless and Joey Walraven.

The family would especially like to thank all the nurses and CNAs at NHC- Sequatchie.
