Jewell Blanche Barnes Blevins, 96, of New Hope, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2024 at NHC facility after a four-year lengthy stay.

Jewell was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was a seamstress, and was known for making wedding gowns, cheerleading outfits, doo rags and western shirts as well as other clothing items.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.O. Blevins, parents, William M. Barnes, and Mary Lee King Barnes; son, Robert "Bobby" Blevins; brother, William Barnes; sisters, Helen Durham, and Dorothy Berryhill.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Don (Marlynn) Blevins, Waymon L. (Vickie) Blevins; grandchildren, Kristie (Stefan) Malsy, Jeremy N. (Regina) Blevins, Jason A. (Leslie) Blevins, Chad K. (Julie) Blevins; five great-grandchildren; Taylor Malsy, Aiden Blevins, Dakota Blevins, Lydia Blevins, Cole Blevins, and Daniel Blevins, Joanna Blevins; special niece, Jane (Jerry) Kennemore; numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. (CST) in the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.

The interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in New Hope, TN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (CST) at the funeral home prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Don McClendon, Cole Blevins, Eddie Berryhill, Raymond Durham, Aiden Blevins, Dakota Blevins.
