James Earl "Jim" Webb Jr., 64, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020.

He was born August 23, 1956 in South Pittsburg, TN.  He was a 1973 graduate of South Pittsburg High School, where he lettered in football.  He began working at TVA in 1977, spending the majority of his career at Widows Creek Fossil Plant, until his retirement in 2007.  He attended First Baptist Church of South Pittsburg, where he played bass guitar in the praise and worship band.  He was known throughout Marion County as an outstanding musician.  Jim enjoyed riding his Harley, taking his grandson hiking and fishing, and playing ball in the yard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Earl "Red" and Jewel Chance Webb.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth "Beth" O'Leary Webb, his daughter, Ashley (Aaron) Thomas, his pride and joy, his grandson Trenton Aaron "Trent" Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a graveside service on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm CST at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN.  All friends and family are welcome to attend.  Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
