Jim Holtcamp, Sr., 82, of Sequatchie, TN died unexpectedly Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home.
The son of the late William Fred and Laura Bell Boyd Holtcamp, he was a lifelong resident of Marion County. He was a veteran of the US Army and an operator at the Sequatchie Handle Works for over 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Coppinger Holtcamp; brothers, Ray and Bill Holtcamp and sister, Nina Holtcamp Dent.
He is survived by his children, Mettawee (Royce) Dawson, Jim Holtcamp, Jr. and Holly Holtcamp; grandson, Jason (Donna) Dawson; great-grandchildren, Michaela, Katie, Dakota, Brittany and Mark all of Sequatchie, TN; brother, Jack (Helen) Holtcamp of Tiftonia, TN; sister, Sue Clay of South Pittsburg, TN; sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth (Ralph) Burton and Connie Coppinger all of Jasper, TN and Nadine Holtcamp of Hixson, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 2pm Central time with Reverends James Ramsey and Melvin Dawson officiating. Interment will be in Lasater Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 3-8pm Central time at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper.
