Jimmy Bee Rector, age 59, of New Hope, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at his home.

Jimmy was, first and foremost, a devoted family man. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who cherished the time he spent with those he loved. Jimmy enjoyed working on cars and spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing and camping and making memories with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bee Wileman, Jr., and Mary Lee Wileman; son, Paul David Rector.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Mary Ann Mathis and Calvin Wayne Mathis; sisters, Annette Lawson, Charla Styers, Theresa (Luis) Sanchez; children, Travis Rector, Amy (Jeremy) Brown, Brandi (Rector) Devries, Keshia (Rector) Walters; grandchildren, Jayden Brown, Jesse Rector, Kaleigh Rector, Carter Smith (Life partner) Debra Phillips, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, one great great niece along with numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held for Jimmy on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (CDT) in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, with Pastor Rodney McGill officiating.

Jimmy will be laid to rest in New Hope Cemetery in New Hope, Tennessee.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT) prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brown, Jayden Brown, Roy Campbell, Shaun Tate, Victor Sanchez, Alex Sanchez, Kaleb Bunch and Jacob Sims.
