Jo Dean Shaffer 91 of Jasper, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2022. She was born in Chattanooga July 23, 1931. Jo Dean was a lifelong educator working in Marion County as a teacher and administrator. She was elected to the Tennessee Educators Hall of Fame in 1997.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Larkin and Lilian Gattis; husband Lee Shaffer. Jo Dean is survived by daughter Juanita Little and son Doug (Joyce) Little, Stepson Craig (Nancy) Shaffer, and Stepdaughter April (Jim) Cordell. Grandson Joe (Jennifer) Little and Great grandchildren Asher and Adeline Little.

The family will have a private Memorial service at a later date.
